Vermont Hat

Here's a hat that I knit a couple of years ago, when I was newly fascinated with fair isle. I couldn't find just the right pattern so I pulled out my graph paper and played around creating something that would be easy yet interesting. I knit one for each member of my family that lives in Vermont (Californian thinking: They must need a lot of hats - it snows there!) so it got the very unoriginal name, Vermont hat.
Pattern: Vermont Hat
All pattern links will divert you to where they are saved at www.acrobat.com when that opens up in your window click where it says "Download" in the top right corner to save the pattern to your computer. You will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer in order to open and view the pattern. You can download Adobe Reader for free. Click Here to be linked to Adobe Reader.

  3. I am having a really hard time accessing the patern to print. Is there any chance of making it just a text document? I was only able to print one page with all the acrobat stuff on the page as well (lots of black ink). I tried cut and paste, but that didn't work either. It really is a beautiful hat and I would love to be able to make it for my daughter.

  5. This is exactly what I have been wanting to make for my cold sensitive Dad to go with his thrummed mittens Christmas gift! Thanks!
I too had trouble with the printing ..it only printed the first page unless I clicked on the arrow at the top to show 2 for page two and then printed the second page that way.

    THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

  6. Thanks to all! I'll see what I can do to fix the problem and make the pattern more accessible. Right now it's a link over to where the pdf is posted at acrobat.com.

  7. Okay! Problem should be fixed - the file size was way to huge so I brought down the quality and I added directions for how to save and print the pattern (right under the pattern)
